First Visit
At McCarthy, DMD, we like to take our time to get to know who you are as a person before we give you treatment. Dr. McCarthy is a big believer in tailoring dental services to who a person is and their actual oral health needs. Upon arrival, you’ll sit down with our team, and we’ll go over your medical and dental records. Dr. McCarthy will also want to know if you are currently experiencing any discomfort and where that pain is located in your mouth.
After our meeting, treatment will begin! We usually start with X-rays to give us a better idea of what we are dealing with regarding cavities, gum disease, etc. A thorough exam and cleaning follow this—Dr. McCarthy and his team like to take a comprehensive, caring approach to dental care. While most dentists might take ten minutes to evaluate the health of your smile, Dr. McCarthy will take over twice that time. Why? Because he cares more than most dental healthcare providers.
